so here is an update. The Compound days have come to a close. We opted out of our lease early to give the homeowner time to renovate and put the house on the market before the spring. It all happened really, really fast. We spoke with him, made the decision and in two weeks, it was done. After looking at countless houses in the city, for budget we were looking to meet and space requirements, nothing came close to as decent living as we had at the compound. So the next step, look outside the city. And if we are moving outside the city, why live somewhere that doesn't benefit us in any way other than financially? Enter BRIDGEMILL. Thats right. Bridemill.37.9 miles north of our previous address and about a block from the home of Jax, Livi, and Steph. The kids can walk to the house....and they do. Even in the snow. Its pretty cool. Takes the driving out of visitation and its way less limited. The moving finally ended on Saturday....immediately following that wrap up (it took us 2 weeks to get out) i sat on the couch and the sickness consumed. Feeling much better today, but the mountain of unpacking is staring me in the face.
In other news, wedded bliss is on the horizon. Before anyone gets too excited....its massively unofficial. No ring or definite plans....but a date. Dec 21, 2012. As long as I have lived side by side with Mr. Clark its never been anything at all that I even gave a second thought to. It was never going to be on the table. We would live untraditionally happily ever after as we do now....with very few rules or regulations and an unscathing honesty with one another. so in a very Carrie Bradshaw/Mr. Big fashion we decided to get married....sitting in the movie theater, watching Harry Potter after a week on the road...he leans over to me and says...."we should get married on the last day of earth". i will leave all the details for another blog but this can be considered the unofficial announcement of the unofficial engagement.
Life out here. So so different. I dont know where anything is in my home or in the neighborhood. it will all come with time...but i hate having to find my bearings. all the houses look the same (no offense to anyone, but they do) its all very neutral. i am sure i will have many a story to tell about neighbors and all the ins and outs of the subdivision life. i do plan on investigating all the rumors and elaborating on my findings so stay tuned. and if you need to get away from the fast paced city life....come visit me sometime.
